GPS Tracking Information

In this post, I thought I'd focus on the different uses of GPS tracking in the past and bring up some past postings that really illustrate just how pervasive GPS tracking is in our society today:

In one posting, I talked about an article that is no longer available, but people have been known to use GPS devices to get out of speeding tickets. One of the things that GPS Tracking can give you is the speed of the vehicle. If your tracking is good enough, you can know just how fast you were going in a particular area. I am not sure how well that holds up in court, but in the last few years, there has been enough time to see some results.

Cell Phone GPS Tracking -  In this article, you get an idea of using GPS tracking in Cell Phones.  It is so very commonplace now and is in almost every smartphone that is out there.

GPS Tracking for Cars - this article discusses the applications of using GPS tracking in vehicles, mostly for personal use and how it can increase personal safety.  There is also the case of it reducing privacy as well.  This is a tradeoff that many will have to make.

GPS Fleet Tracking - This article discusses using GPS tracking not only for single vehicles, but for a whole fleet of vehicles.   In this case, vehicle fleet tracking is more for business purposes and for fleet managers to be able to keep track of all of their fleets.
