GPS Tracking Software

Well this is certainly an interesting concept that probably does have a target market.  This is a piece of software that you would download into your GPS device (Such as your Tom Tom or Magellean - although I'm sure a smartphone version is around the corner of it hasn't already been created.  It warns you both visually and aurally "Danger Will Robinson - Your are about to take your lilly white behind into a high crime area full of big beastial black thugs just waiting to pop a cap in your ass and help themselves to your vehicle, thank you very much!"

I only say this because of the picture in the website of a car surrounded by big black guys with crowbars, bats and the like just waiting to pimp slap the crap out of the occupant.  Sure they throw a white guy in there just to mix it up a bit, but you really don't see him until after you have had your emotional reaction to the picture.

So of course, you don't want something like that to happen to you as it strikes the fear of God into your heart so of course you will get it.  After all, it is less than 20 bucks and as sure as 10 dimes will get you a dollar,  your life is worth at least 20 bucks right?  The emotional connection has been made, you've been sold on the benefits of not ending up an entry in the obituary section of the paper, and all that is needed is to download this software into your trusty device.

For those who aren't quite sure, there is always a video to drive home the point as to just how dangerous it really is out there.  This video contains a series of pictures of desolate stretches of urban roadway generously interspersed with scenes of carjackings, and frightened petite demure suburban/soccermom women being assulted by thugs.  To keep things from going over the boiling point, and riling up the good ole boys into unhealthy and illegal expressions of their anger,  most of the car jackers and assaulters are white.  That would just push too many buttons on the average viewer and instead of convincing them to buy, it would convince them to leave the website and order high calibur "peace-maker" from the first online gun shop they could find.  Not alltogether the action the software maker is desiring.

In all seriousness however, if you are in an area that is unknown to you, and it would make your trip less stressful, then it may be something you want to invest in.  It doesn't help those that have to live in these areas however, as they already know they live in a high crime area, and who wants a constant  reminder of that, right?
