GPS Vehicle Tracking

Here is an interesting news item on how GPS vehicle tracking is evolving. In many tracking solutions, a lot of information is provided, which means more data has to be transmitted. The more data that is transmitted, the higher the transmission cost for the fleet manager. It looks as if this solution customizes which data is actually transmitted to the vehicle fleet manager based upon what features they actually need. For instance, if the fleet manager doesn't care about how fast the vehicles are going, they don't need that information transmitted to them. Quite an innovative solution if you ask me.
